Another Private Ceremony with Dawn and Dorie as witnesses

I was fortunate to officiate for a really nice couple on Saturday in the gardens at Weymouth House in Southern Pines, NC. It was an absolutely beautiful day. The bride and groom were two young people who desired to marry in a private ceremony. They will have a public ceremony in December. So as to not show any favoritism to any friends or family, or hurt any feelings of those not invited, they chose to have me supply the witnesses for their ceremony.

For the second time this winter my lovely wife Dawn and the incredible Dorie Penfold acted as the witnesses. As the ceremony was private I won’t post any photos now. However the bride was beautiful, the groom was handsome, and I was the thorn between the roses as you’ll see when I post the photos after the public ceremony.

Reverend Jim made our wedding a unique and special occasion. His blend of humor and the aviation theme of the vows hit the nail on the head! He was able to put into words the aura of our relationship. We were so blessed to have found the perfect person to marry us!

He traveled through the snow to our home to marry us, at the last minute. He was more than accommodating to our needs and schedule. Cheryl
