Daybreak Ceremonies performs many more weddings than other ceremonies, and this wedding season has been quite busy. Today I’d like to talk about a recent Funeral Ceremony I prepared and officiated. The family is scattered along the East coast. The 90 year old twin brother of the gentleman whose wife passed away was not able to travel from Long Island to Southern Pines for the funeral ceremony. There was other family that was not able to travel.

To accommodate these loved ones not able to attend there were 3 lap top computers in the viewing room at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines, each tuned in via Skype to the proceedings. Through the use of this technology the ability to attend and receive a sense of closure and family contact was achieved. It really was a very nice way to say good bye to someone who was loved by so many.
