It’s odd how you can sometimes be considered an expert on a topic. I have been asked to officiate for several prison weddings. On May 20 I’ll be leading a Teleconference on this subject for association members of the Celebrant Foundation & Institute. Here is the promo. Your thoughts??

Dear CF&I Celebrant Association Members,

I’m delighted to invite our Celebrant Association Members (only) to join us on Wednesday, May 20th at 1PM EDT for our Celebrant Teleconference conversation with Jim DeKornfeldof Daybreak Ceremonies in North Carolina.

Our topic will be:

Weddings in the Big House – Celebrants Serving the Prison Community

Jim DeKornfeld has been a practicing Celebrant since 2012. In that time he has celebrated over 100 weddings in North and South Carolina, Washington, DC New York City and Wisconsin. He has officiated a dozen funerals and other family ceremonies. Some of the most poignant and meaningful ceremonies were weddings performed in Correctional Institutions, aka prisons in North Carolina. If you believe that all of us should have the same access to happiness, respect and compassion regardless of circumstance we hope you will spend an hour of so with us on Wednesday May 20, 2015 at 1:00 pm eastern time as we discuss serving as Wedding Celebrants in prison
